It’s been a while since I shared some gratitude here on the blog. Not to worry though, lately I’ve been sending my gratitude out via my newsletter so if you’ve been missing The Great List, be sure to sign up!
I just wanted to pop in to share a few things that have made my heart full lately. I know all too well that gratitude often matters most when it seems like there is little to be grateful for, but after more than a year of struggle, I’m ready to celebrate a few wins for once. Can you blame me?
1. Last week I worked on a photo shoot with an awesome new client. Not only were the vibes and location incredible, but it was my favorite type of shoot where true collaboration occurred. I love when clients trust my creative vision, and I get to work with a team that helps bring to life my very best ideas. I’m super hopeful this will wind up being a long term relationship.
2. My fully renovated backyard/deck/studio is a dream come true. You can barely get me inside these days. I finally feel “home” now that I have a creative space to work in, and an outdoor space that my family can relax in. We are outdoor people. The crazy rainy winter was not easy, and I’m beyond grateful to finally have a place where we can enjoy sunshine and fresh air all the time.
3. My spin instructor told me I looked radiant last week. You know what it is? I’m tan! Vitamin D baby! This is kind of an extension of Great List item #2, but man does it feel good to be outside. This summer, while not as hot as I’d normally like, has actually been beautiful, and warm enough to wear a t-shirt (unlike last summer). I feel like myself when I have a little tan going, and I’m super grateful that this summer hasn’t been a total bust like last year was.
That’s it for now. Cheers to summer! Looking forward to another week full of interesting projects, and a little get together we’re hosting this weekend to celebrate our new deck.
