Pantry, schmantry! This cook my pantry project seems kind of never ending lately. I finally decided to take matters into my own hands, and really put a dent in it. Who am I kidding, I’ve made 12 dishes since this started 2 1/2 weeks ago! Seriously, never ending. I’ve had random half boxes/bags of a variety of noodles, plus this bag of frozen, asian style, vegetables for a while. I know the Hubs loves stir fry so I figured these items would work.
I used THIS recipe as my jumping off point, but made some adjustments based on what I had on hand. Its pretty self-explanatory; cook meat and vegetables in a pan, then add noodles and sauce. Sure, maybe it looks a little funny with the bow ties in it, but it tasted delightful!
In other news, I’ve been feeling a bit discombobulated lately. The beginning of the month is always the busiest time for work, plus all the visitors and events we’ve had going on, and then yesterday I threw out my back while scooping poop in the backyard! It was the craziest thing, I was bending at the waist (not lifting anything at all) and my back just locked up! I couldn’t stand up straight or bend forward any further. I’m feeling better today after a lot of wine and a muscle relaxer last night, but not 100% so I’m going to have to skip my work out today. Jeez, I’m really getting old.
The inlaws flew in last night so I’m sure this weekend will be full of sight seeing, football, and southern cooking. It’s Friday already right? right?
