Still plugging away on the easter egg front! These were actually directly inspired from the original Martha Stewart article I read, and were the ONLY ones that turned out like the photos! They also happen to be my favorite. I created this little metallic nest out of some paper I had in my ever growing paper stash. In my easter bunny dreams, all the eggs are perfect, and sparkly like these! To get the effect, I painted each egg with elmer’s school glue, then rolled them in varying colors of fine glitter. I will admit that when I cracked them to eat, they got sparkles all over, but I just ran them under some water to rinse them off.
For my third, and not quite final, deviled egg variation, we’re going a little tex-mex! Once again, check out the base recipe for all my deviled egg recipes HERE. This time I mixed in:
2 T. chopped red bell pepper
1 T. chopped jalapeno
1 minced green onion
1 T. chopped cilantro
about 1/4 c. black beans, rinsed and drained
**I just eye-balled all these measurements
