It’s Girl Scout Cookie season which, in my mind, is the only redeeming aspect of the month of February. I can’t think of a better way to beat the winter blues than by filling your belly with overpriced, highly processed cookies sold to you by the cutest little pigtailed girl standing outside the grocery store dressed as a thin mint. Seriously, I cannot resist their mini sales pitch.
As much as I love and support the Girl Scouts of America, a home baked cookie trumps a “store” bought one any day in my book. Now, I realize that in the 20 or so years since I’ve been a Girl Scout they’ve come up with quite a few new flavors of cookies, but for the purposes of this blog, I have just recreated the OG, or most popular, varieties.
