Hello 2015. I’ve been waiting for you. The first week of the year has been a Great one for me. I’m so relieved to be through the holidays and my end-of-year-funk. I have a lot to look forward to, but I’m taking it one day at a time. Here’s what this week was all about.
1. I love being back in my regular routine. As a freelancer, every day and week is different, but for me that is a routine. I like to wake up at the same time every day, know that at some point I’ll get in a good workout and a walk with Olive, and will make dinner in the evening (or afternoon). That’s about as regimented as I get. I was able to accomplish a ton this week without any curve balls being thrown at me. It was a Great way to start off a year.
2. Since I missed Val’s birthday last weekend, I took her out for dinner this week and we got to catch up on pretty much everything. We’ve been friends for over 15 years now and it’s so Great to see where we are now compared to where we thought we would be at 35. Not surprisingly, I think we’re pretty much right where we believed we could be. That’s how we roll! Believe it, then achieve it.
3. My housekeepers came this week after being off for a month. I felt kind of bad about the mess caused by us learning to use our new electric toothbrushes, but Kathy assured me it wasn’t so bad, and now our entire house is sparkling clean. Clean house=clean mind for me. It’s a whole lot easier to create when you don’t have a mess clogging up your periphery.
4. The only thing besides soup that I like about winter is the unbelievable winter sunsets here in San Diego. Every night mother nature puts on a spectacular show, and I’m loving every minute of it.
Happy weekend to all! I’m ready for a day, a weekend, a week, a year of new adventures! I’ve got high hopes and a determined attitude. I’m know with Gratitude on my side, I can’t lose. Let’s do this 2015.
