Clearly this week was one for the record books. Fiona took everything up a notch, so it was pretty much impossible to even notice anything that might be going wrong. Aside from a perfect, sweet new baby, there were a few other high points. Check ’em out.
1. On my morning run each day there is a house that has a super overgrown hedge that forces me to duck and swerve into the grass. Its drives me bananas, but yesterday morning I found that someone had FINALLY cut it back! This seems so dumb and not important, and its not really, but sometimes its the small things that really make you feel grateful.
2. Boozer make a quick appearance this week. Nothing cheers me up more than the sight of his tiny little dachshund face. I only wish he could have stayed longer.
3. The work projects I’m involved in right now just keep getting more interesting. I met a very cool new colleague this week, and we had a truly inspiring meeting. I’m beyond excited to see what this year has in store for me and my friends.
4. I mean, look at the picture. Fiona is the best thing ever.
That’s it for me this week. Not too shabby I have to say. So much to be thankful for right now. What I love about writing this Great List each week is looking back and using old posts as a touchstone during those times when things aren’t going so great. I’m pretty sure this post and photo will be one I look back on often. Give it a try for yourself! I think you’ll find keeping track of the things your grateful for will only propagate more things to be grateful for.
