We’re a 3M family. Yes, 3M…you know, scotch tape, post-its, that 3M. My uncle worked for 3M for years before he retired and we’re still big fans. (As much as you can be a “fan” of a giant corporation that makes everything) One of my favorite side effects from being part of a 3M family is this awesome gift we get every year. I call it the 3M box, and, as far as I know, only employees of 3M and their families can get them. Ok, I know this all sounds pretty nerdy, but sometimes the best gifts are the ones you don’t realize you need.
The gift box always contains different items. Here’s a few pics from the one I got the other day!
The coolest new things this year were the “Nook and Cranny” scrubbers (blue, star-shaped sponges) and the biodegradable expanding sponges (looks like thick sheets of paper but, when you add water, it turns into a sponge). Plus, I got a few of my all time faves; the 4 inch square post-its (best size ever!), Nexcare band-aids (they never fall off), and Command hooks (great to hang stockings). You just never know when you’re going to need this stuff!
In other super riveting news, the rain continues here in San Diego. It does make it feel like Christmas but it also makes it difficult to motivate to leave the house. Thankfully I only have one meeting tomorrow then I’m homebound until Christmas! My last gift to wrap arrived today and I picked up the last of my cooking ingredients. Tomorrow I’m going to start my turkey a brinin’ and bake the layers of my coconut cream cakes to they’ll have a few days to absorb all the delightful filling. Hope you all are staying warm and dry!
***Upon Googling, it looks like you can buy 3M gift boxes but I don’t think they are exactly these ones.
