Here we are, Christmas eve! Big party time! I can’t wait to have all my friends over! When you live 2000 miles away from your family, you really count on your friends to bring that “family togetherness” holiday feeling. The Hubs is pre-making a breakfast casserole for the two of us to enjoy tomorrow morning and I’m just finishing up the last of the clean-up (aka. vacuum up dog hair)
I would just like to take a second to mention all the men and women who are serving our country across the world who don’t get to be with their families OR friends for the holidays. Living in a “military town” like San Diego, we’ve gotten to know many service members throughout the years. Fortunately, most of our close friends have been discharged by now, but our one friend in particular, Jed, is overseas as we speak. You’re always on our mind Jed! Thank you to all who put their lives on the line so we can enjoy the freedom to spend the day in our pajamas, drinking eggnog and opening ridiculous amounts of gifts. We should never forget that not everyone is so lucky.

On that note, I hope you all have a joyous and peaceful holiday! I’ll post a wrap up of our shenanagins soon!
