This turkey sausage pasta primavera is as easy to make as 1, 2, 3, 4. A simple, fresh and family friendly dinner that comes together in about 30 minutes.

My sister in law is no cook (Sorry Steph). However, earlier this year, she and my brother were visiting us, and I made this turkey sausage pasta primavera for dinner.

They both loved it so much that Steph asked me for the recipe.

The week they left, I got an email from my mom saying “I don’t know what you said to her, but Steph came back from her trip all inspired to cook, and she has made dinner every day this week!”

If you are a beginner or have a beginner chef in your house, this is a great recipe to get started with.

Turkey Sausage Pasta Primavera

Pasta primavera is basically just pasta with vegetables. Most vegetables will work, but for this particular dish I used a summer vegetable medley of zucchini, yellow squash, bell pepper and tomatoes. If these aren’t your favorites, give carrots, broccoli, or asparagus a try.

By combining different vegetables you not only get to work on your knife skills, but you get to sample different flavor combinations as well. There really is no wrong answer when it comes to what vegetables to add to this dish.

The key to success when trying new vegetable combinations is to cut all the vegetables the same size so they evenly cook.

I had small cherry tomatoes that I cut in half, so I also cut the rest of my veggies to roughly that same size.

The same rules apply for the pasta and the meat in this healthy pasta dish too. Make what you have or what you like! I opted for fusili pasta and sweet Italian turkey sausage.

The turkey sausage is packed full of flavor, but still keeps the dish light and fresh. Ground beef, bacon, or even shrimp would also taste delicious if that’s what you’re working with. Any pasta shape works great.

Do you see where this is going? This recipe is completely customizable and pretty much foolproof. The perfect blank canvas to create your new family signature dish.

This is a tasty and easy recipe. Enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing it.

(However, I and others I shared your commentary with thought it was a little low/ foul calling out your sister-in-law like that. There was nothing loving about it. It came across like you took a jab at her with a fake apology. It’s great she was inspired to cook meals after experiencing this recipe but there are better ways to begin sharing a personal story. You may have been trying to demonstrate that anyone can do this recipe or that it tastes so good that it inspires others to do things they have not attempted to do before. Everyone has challenges or areas that may be lacking. You may want to consider taking that first sentence, and “apology” out.)
