Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup finely shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbs garlic powder
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 390°F. Rinse and dry green beans.

  2. Prepare your three dipping bowls. Add flour to one bowl. In a second bowl vigorously whisk eggs. In the third bowl combine panko bread crumbs, parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Lightly season all three bowls with salt and pepper.

  3. One at a time, dip green beans in flour, then eggs, then in bread crumb mixture.

  4. Place in air fryer in an even layer. Cook for 5-8 minutes until golden brown. Depending on your air fryer, you may need to flip the beans halfway through.

  5. Sprinkle with additional parmesan cheese and salt. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Recipe Notes

To keep your dipping bowls clean, designate one hand as your "wet" hand and one hand as your "dry" hand. Use the dry hand to dip into the flour, switch to the wet hand to dip in the eggs, then switch back to your dry hand to dip in the breadcrumb mixture.

To ensure perfectly crispy "fries" make sure green beans lay in an even layer and do not stack beans on top of each other.
