I was recently informed that there is such thing as national margarita day and it falls on February 22nd. I’m in love with this holiday for many reasons the main one being that we get to celebrate with cocktails! The second being that it totally jazzes up my most hated month, February.
When a month is cold and boring, make a holiday around a cocktail. #wordstoliveby
To celebrate this genius holiday, I paired my two favorite booze items, champagne and tequila! Margaritas are a great party drink, but when you add champagne, they become truly celebratory.
For national margarita day I’ll be celebrating the fact that I do not see, have to shovel, or drive in snow. Winter makes me so grateful to live in San Diego, and as much as winter weather can be beautiful, my midwestern heart will never forget the inconvenience of pre-heating your car, scraping ice from your windshield, or walking around with salt stains on your shoes and pants for several months out of the year.
Cheers to sunny skies, palm trees, and 60 degrees! Clink! I love you San Diego (and national margarita day).
