Today was a great day! Yesterday when I was driving to work, I was so jealous of the people jogging along the waterfront early in the morning since it was so gorgeous in the early sunshine. I swore that today I would be one of them. Although it was still cloudy, I did get out there, and even though running is never exactly “enjoyable” it was a pleasant enough way to start the day. ย Even on a gray morning, the scenery never disappoints!
After that, I hammered out some boring work stuff, but did manage to solve a work problem that has been weighing down my inbox for a while. What a relief! The sun came out in the afternoon so I decided to walk to do my errands. I really loved soaking up the warm sun and enjoying the sea breeze. Heavenly!
In honor of the summery weather and the fact that its Friday, I’m grilling some tri tip and corn on the cob for dinner. I read this recipe for basil, garlic butter in the latest issue of Cooking Light that I decided to try. It really adds a little something extra to this standard meal.
While I wait for dinner, I’m catching up on the royal wedding which I DVR’d earlier. I’m just loving all the hats, and I think Kate looked fantastic. I am known for crying at every wedding I see on TV and I’m sure this one will be no exception! Hope you all have a great weekend!
