BBQ Bacon Hawaiian Burgers are life changing! Juicy grilled pineapple, spicy BBQ sauce, crunchy bacon and melty cheese create the perfect burger flavor storm.
I’ve long had a dream to move to Hawaii, rent a tiny, tropical abode, and rent out bicycles and paddle boards to tourists as my job.
Simple living in paradise.
Whenever life gets hectic, or things feel overwhelming, I always say to The Hubs, “maybe we should run away to Hawaii”. I am confident that one day he’ll say yes, and we’ll be on our way.
I have been to Hawaii many times. Each time I go, I leave a little of myself there. I’ve started saying “Hawaii is my spirit animal”, which to me, means a place that always feeds my soul and enriches my spirit. When I’m feeling uninspired, or frustrated, I look at old pictures, and reflect on my time there. Anything that reminds me of Hawaii is a plus in my book.
It’s probably no surprise that pineapple is my favorite food.
BBQ Bacon Hawaiian Burgers
I already had Hawaii on my mind when I learned that my 12 bloggers challenge this month was a burger recipe. If you’ve been following along, you know that this has been a weird year for me; full of challenges, and unexpected changes. I’ve been ready to run away since January 1st.
As soon as I heard about this burger challenge, I knew I was going to make my all time favorite burger; the Hawaiian BBQ Bacon Burger. Grilled pineapple, bbq sauce, bacon, and melty cheddar cheese. If I can’t run away to Hawaii, this is definitely the next best thing.

This looks absolutely delicious, Betsy! We do Hawaiian chicken burgers all the time, but I can’t remember if we’ve ever done beef. This is going onto a future menu plan for sure.
