You may know them as pirouette cookies, but you can easily make these rolled wafer cookies at home.
2016 has been a pretty great year for me creatively. I’ve gotten to work with some incredible brand partners, and have created some really fun recipes and imagery. As the year winds down, I think it’s only appropriate that one of my final recipes for 2016 is included as part of a countdown.
Recently I teamed up with one of my favorite brand partners for 2016, Cost Plus World Market, to do some Christmas Baking. As a participant in their 12 days of baking campaign, I was tasked to create a recipe for day eleven, “11 pipers piping”. After scouring their excellent selection of baking products and bakeware I decided to make these festive wafer cookie straws.
These rolled wafer cookies are easily customizable and a great addition to any cookie exchange or holiday dessert table. They start with a simple batter recipe, and come to life with your imagination.
