Labor day is right around the corner and I’m guessing that some of you have been scrolling through Pinterest trying to figure out what to make for your last hurrah of the summer. Allow me to introduce you to this stellar grilled potato pizza recipe.
Despite what you may have seen me eating on Snapchat last week, I’m generally not a big pizza fan. It’s really the red sauce that turns me off, so whenever I can make a sauceless or alternative sauce pizza I’m all about it. Especially if that said pizza has a thin crispy crust.

Recently, my friends at the Idaho Potato Commission asked me to develop an outdoor grilling recipe to celebrate America’s National Park System’s 100th birthday this summer. Grilled potato pizza was the first thing that crossed my mind. It also gave me an excuse to finally go out and buy one of those veggie grilling baskets I’ve always wanted.
Grilling pizza could not be easier. All you need is a grill, pizza dough (homemade or store bought) and whatever toppings you desire. It’s a great party recipe. You can let all your guests customize their own pies, or grill up a bunch of different flavors and let everyone share.
Sounds perfect for labor day right?
Head on over to the Idaho Potato Commission website to get the full recipe or check out some of their other great potato recipes.
If you’re looking for a non-potato grilled recipe to wrap up your summer, I’ve got you covered.
