If you’re looking for a fabulous sparkling wine recipe, these rosé wine gumdrops are just the thing.
Fun Month is in full swing and I feel like it’s time to start treating myself. I’m not usually much of a candy eater, but when the candy is made from wine, it’s a different story.
This particular Fun Month has been off to a slow start. Instead of one constant party, it’s been more like crazy, chaotic weeks of work peppered with short bursts of cool stuff. Last weekend we went to a Lumineers concert and then I took a quick trip to Chicago. This week we’ll have houseguests, and next week I’m going to a yoga retreat. It’s not my usual Fun Month MO, but it’s not too shabby considering I’m in a totally new environment where I don’t know very many people.
I have been spending quite a bit of time working on fun recipe projects like these Rosé wine gumdrops. Inspired by thoughts of hot summer days, when a cold glass of rosé really hits the spot, I dreamed up these fun candies that are a perfect celebratory treat for Fun Month, as well as a great option for the holidays.
This has me thinking about other boozy elements that I can make in order to put together an adult gingerbread house this Christmas. Boozy frosting? Beer gingerbread? My wheels are turning…..stay tuned.
Back to Fun Month.
I’ve been packing a couple of these gumdrops in my lunch each day. It’s not quite enough booze to get a buzz on, but they have just enough rosé flavor to be a real treat.
Even on the most hectic days, I still find a way to take a little break, and have a mini celebration. That’s what Fun Month is all about and despite this year being so unfamiliar, I still haven’t lost my celebratory spirit.
