Camping recipes are a great way to get creative with cooking over a campfire or grill. These s’mores nachos are a big batch camping dessert the whole crew will love.
If you love s’mores but don’t love sitting in a cloud of smoke while you roast your marshmallows, perhaps s’mores nachos are the answer to your camping dessert woes.
This is an awesome camping recipe for the whole family.
Pile any disposable aluminum dish with graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolates then place it near or over a campfire using a grate (or directly on a grill).
A few minutes later you have a gooey plate of s’mores nachos!
I know for some people this may be considered the anti-s’more. After all, roasting marshmallows on a stick is part of the fun right?
If you’re a s’mores purist then go for it.
However, if you have small children that aren’t quite old enough to be trusted by a fire, or if you’re camping in a no fire zone and only have a grill, then I think s’mores nachos are going to be your new favorite way to enjoy s’mores.
The beauty of camping recipes is that you can get really creative. The Hubs and I added both chocolate and peanut butter chips to our plate of nachos. Big marshmallows, little marshmallows, chocolate bars and chips…..
We went a little nuts. And you should too!
You know what else would be great on these? Peeps. Peanut butter cups. Cinnamon grahams. Hershey’s kisses. Caramels. Sprinkles. Strawberries.
I think you get the idea. Anything goes when it comes to s’mores.
What would you add to your s’mores nachos?
